Often praised for the taste and quality of their pizzas, this is one of the most traditional places in Heraklion when craving a mouthwatering slice of Italian goodness. They cook all their pizzas in a wood oven making them taste really good!
Even if its located a bit off-the-beaten-track, it’s worth visiting. Pizza Donato is a favorite among locals and you will certainly enjoy it too.

Via Pastarella is an all-day authentic Italian restaurant located in the center of town, just a short walk from Parko Theotokopoulos. Featuring an open kitchen, the place serves a great range of Italian food made from authentc Italian recipes and fresh Cretan ingredients.
The pizzeria-trattoria has become a must meeting point for those who enjoy Italian food and great pizzas. Prices are affordable too.
